It’s that time of year again. Join us volunteering at this year’s festival, celebrating 50 years of the formation of Lincoln Branch CAMRA. This is the third year we have partnered with Lincoln College at The Drill, and will also see the reintroduction of the World Beer Bar
To make Lincoln Beer Festival happen, we need your help be it a few hours over a day or multiple shifts.
There are a variety of jobs to be filled, no prior experience is necessary as training will be provided.
Benefits* of helping at the festival include:
Set Up Days
- Free lunch during set-up days Monday 20th – Wednesday 22nd.
- Free entry into a session when not volunteering
During the festival open days
- Complimentary drinks tokens. One token per hour volunteered to the maximum of 8 per day. One token is worth ½ pint of real ale, cider or perry.
- Meal subsidies for those volunteering over 6 hours when the festival is open to the public. Volunteer over 6 hours and you can claim up to £4 back. Work over 10 hours and you can claim up to £5 back. One subsidy per person, per day Thursday to Saturday, issued by a Volunteering officer (proof of purchase required).
- Assistance with taxis for those helping until midnight. We’ll group people into a taxi & pay back the full fare on production of a valid receipt given to a Volunteering officer.
- Post-festival social at the Joiners Arms Sunday 26th May 3.00pm. Including a drink on us and a small buffet. Don’t like buffet food? As the pub doesn’t sell food the landlord is fine for people to order food to the pub.
- Exclusive Volunteer t-shirt for volunteers working over 6 hours. These are the same ones provided last year as we aim to make the festival s environmentally friendly as possible, so please bring last years back with you to wear again. Priority for distribution will be given to those that didn’t receive one last year and then past volunteers.
*Benefits have been set at the planning meetings. All benefits are final; no substitutions will be offered. Although additional discounts may apply during the festival. See posters in the volunteer only areas in The Drill for full terms & conditions.
Full details will be included in the Volunteer Briefing, which will be issued with confirmation of your hours.
During set-up you will be required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which we’ll provide, but if you do have your own safety shoes/gloves/hard hat it is recommended you bring them with you as we only have a limited range of sizes.
