It’s that time of year again, so here we go with our annual plea for volunteers to help at the 44th Lincoln Beer Festival.
Safe to say last year’s change of venue proved the doubters wrong and with your help we held another successful festival. So this year will be returning to Southside Lincoln, Colegrave St, Lincoln, LN5 8DW. We’ll be open to the public on Thursday 21st, Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd May. Of course, we’ll need help on the days beforehand to set things up, and afterwards to clear everything away.
We have been working since October to get everything in place for the event. However, their efforts will have been in vain if we don’t have enough helpers.
There are a variety of jobs to be filled, no prior experience is necessary as training will be provided.
Benefits of helping at the festival include:
Set Up Days
- Free lunch during set-up days Monday 18th – Wednesday 20th
- Free entry into a session when not volunteering.
During the festival open days
- Complimentary drinks tokens if working when the festival is open to the public.
- Meal subsidy if working more than Six (6) hours when the festival is open to the public.
- Assistance with taxis for those helping until midnight.
- A post-festival social at the Joiners Arms on the afternoon of Sunday, 24th
May. (Limited Numbers). - Volunteers t-shirt for those helping 6+ hours over the festival.
(We are using the same shirts as last year so priority will be given to those that didn’t get one last year, and encourage those that got one, to bring it with them to re-use this year.)
Full details will be included in the Volunteer Briefing, which will be issued with confirmation of your hours.

We look forward to seeing you at the festival; we cannot not run it without you.
